燕去（つばめさる）

七十二候の「燕去（つばめさる）」は、白露の末候にあたり、9月17日頃から9月21日頃までの時期を指します。この時期になると、春先に日本にやってきたツバメが、子育てを終えて越冬地である東南アジアやオーストラリアへと旅立っていきます。

ツバメは、日本では春と秋の渡りをする鳥です。春は3月頃に日本に到着し、営巣して子育てを行います。秋は9月頃に日本を出発し、越冬地で冬を過ごします。
